Golgi Tec successfully creates a big banana variety – ‘Badal Mongal’

With the expert knowledge of the in-house team, Golgi Tec took a leap forward to create a big banana variety in its laboratory. A single fruit of the ‘Badal Mongal’ weighs 1.22 kg and is truly a kind of its own!

The mission to create the big banana type was successfully initiated and implemented at the Golgi Tec laboratory with the collective effort of the lab team and Mr. Shaker, an enthusiastic farmer from Jaffna who introduced the plant for initiation. After weeks and months of careful studying, analysis and implementation, Golgi Tec takes pride in developing this species of banana within its doors.
